Designed under the direction of BYD Global Design Director Wolfgang Egger, the BYD SEALION 7 draws inspiration from the movement and energy of the ocean. Its sleek, flowing lines and aerodynamic profile create a contemporary appearance with a distinctly sporty character.
The extended wheelbase contributes to its confident stance while helping create a spacious interior. A sweeping fastback silhouette and dual waistline complete its distinctive design.
The BYD SEALION 7 features distinctive OCEAN X front styling, with a powerful X-shaped structure and low-slung bonnet. At the rear, full-width LED tail-lights incorporate linear light strips and water-drop-inspired details, creating a recognisable lighting signature.
Practical features complement the SUV's striking appearance. The intelligent electric tailgate can open with a simple foot gesture, making it easier to load shopping, luggage and other everyday essentials. Its anti-pinch system and customisable stopping positions add further convenience.
The interior of the BYD SEALION 7 takes inspiration from the movement of sailboats, creating a cabin with flowing shapes and a contemporary atmosphere. Premium quilted Nappa leather seats and soft vegan leather covering over 80% of the interior help deliver an inviting environment.
Comfort features include heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and an electrically adjustable driver's seat with lumbar and leg support. The panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade brings natural light into the cabin, while carefully engineered noise and vibration reduction helps maintain a tranquil atmosphere.
The BYD SEALION 7 features a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen that provides access to infotainment and vehicle functions. Its intelligent cockpit is designed to keep essential information and entertainment easily accessible throughout your journey.
Connectivity features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, four-zone voice control and Over The Air software updates. A head-up display projects important driving information onto the windscreen, while 128-colour ambient lighting and a 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system enhance the cabin experience.
A 50W wireless phone charger provides a convenient way to keep compatible devices powered on the move.
The BYD SEALION 7 incorporates BYD's Blade Battery technology, developed with a focus on safety, durability and efficiency. Its Cell-to-Body construction integrates the battery directly into the vehicle's structure, helping enhance rigidity and make efficient use of interior space.
The SUV also benefits from BYD's integrated 8-in-1 electric powertrain, which combines eight key components into a single system to optimise packaging and energy efficiency. A standard heat pump system helps manage thermal energy across a broad range of temperatures, supporting efficient operation in different driving conditions.
The BYD SEALION 7 combines responsive electric performance with technology designed to support confident handling. The all-wheel-drive version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 215 km/h.
Its intelligent iTAC torque control system helps manage driving torque to improve traction and vehicle stability. A front double-wishbone and rear multi-link suspension system, together with Frequency Selective Damping shock absorbers, is designed to balance ride comfort with control.
For longer journeys, the Excellence AWD version supports DC rapid charging at up to 230 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 24 minutes under suitable conditions.
