The SEAL U DM-i interior combines a modern design with practical storage. A floating centre console incorporates a double-layer storage compartment, while the ocean-inspired crystal gear lever adds a distinctive finishing touch.
The front seats offer electric adjustment, heating and ventilation, with memory functions available to help drivers find their preferred seating position. A panoramic sliding sunroof brings additional natural light into the cabin.
The BYD SEAL U DM-i offers a spacious rear cabin, with generous legroom and a flat floor designed to help passengers travel comfortably. Supportive rear seating makes the SUV suitable for family outings and longer trips.
The boot provides 425 litres of luggage capacity, expanding to 1,440 litres when the rear seats are folded down. This flexible layout makes it easier to accommodate shopping, suitcases and larger items.
At the heart of the SEAL U DM-i is BYD Super DM Technology, an intelligent plug-in hybrid system developed to combine energy efficiency, performance and comfort.
The system brings together an Electric Hybrid System, a purpose-designed Xiaoyun hybrid engine and a bespoke BYD Blade Battery. This combination supports electric driving while retaining the flexibility of petrol power for longer journeys.
The SEAL U DM-i is designed to deliver efficient everyday driving alongside the flexibility to travel further. The official model page lists a pure-electric range of more than 70 km and a combined range of up to 1,080 km, depending on the stated test conditions.
For added convenience, its 18 kW DC rapid-charging capability can charge the battery from 30% to 80% in around 35 minutes under the stated conditions.
The BYD SEAL U DM-i features a connected infotainment system with navigation, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, intelligent voice control and 4G connectivity. Over-the-air updates help keep its onboard technology up to date.
Driver-assistance features include Blind Spot Detection, Intelligent Cruise Control and Rear Cross Traffic Alert with Rear Cross Traffic Brake. These systems are designed to provide additional awareness and support in a range of driving situations.
